Rabbit Snail breeding continue at a faster pace after the transfer of all Adult to Fish Tank. Almost one Baby is born every week, not sure if it is Twin or Triplet. Lettuce had Flower, waiting for it to bear fruit to collect the seed for future planting.

Had decided to keep Mini Mexican Crayfish again, this time we keep it together with the Wild Type Primitive Crystal Shrimp. Also brought some more Neon Tetra and White Cloud Mountain Minnow to replace those which had die during the power stoppage.

The Passion Fruit had Flower after about a year, but the long wait is worth the effort. It will be producing Fruit for the next 4 to 5 years, although the main purpose is to provide shelter for the Vegetable. Air Plant Flower Bloom, notice that it always happen when the weather are hot.

Happen to see Lotus Seed when I am looking for Banana Lily Seed last time, decided to give it a try. The Lotus Seed start to sprout after a day, and it had grow to a very long length in just 5 days. I found out that the life cycle is about 2 months, so I am expecting the flower to bloom in 1 month and bear Pod with Lotus Seed in 2 months.

One thing lead to another, due to my interest in Lotus Seed the shopping website start to recommend Bonsai Fruit Plant Seed to me. The Banana Tree really caught my attention as I never expect it to be able to fit into Bonsai Pot. The other plant that also caught my attention are Apple, Cherry, Kiwi, Fig, Peach as I only see very big and large version of them so far.

I also purchase some other seeds like Black Berry, Papaya, Guava,  Pomegranate, Custard Apple and Sugar Cane to try out. I didn't really held high hope for the rest as I had seen the actual version before and still feel they are a bit too big for Bonsai. The only exception in this group is Pomegranate as the photo shown is similar to Apple which I had never seen before.

Lotus Leaf start to open after 2 weeks, everything is according to my expectation so far. My Sixth Aunt add some earthworm poop as fertilizer, her Lotus Leaf open more and earlier then mine. Actually I had alternate between normal tap water and aquarium water between the water change every 2 to 3 days, so it also able to absorb some nutrients from the fish poop.

Manage to find another Baby Rabbit Snail under the Drift Wood use for Java Fern, I thought it was an empty shell like one of the previous case as it is not moving at all. But when I transfer it into Shrimp Tank, it start to show its head and start crawling around. The breeding had seem to slow down back to the normal rate of about once a month, but I am not sure what is the reason that contribute to that changes.

I had decided to transfer the Lotus to Fish and shrimp Tank for easy management, I had to use the Bio Ceramic Ring to help weight it down. The Rabbit Snail seem to like sucking the sticky liquid from the seed, it had cause quite a few broken stem which unable to grow back after some observation. Just hope the remaining one will continue to grow well.

Banana had start to Sprout after about 5 days, the remaining fruits still under close observation. I will sow new seeds if they did not sprout after about a month or two depending on the type. I had order some more Lotus Seeds to start a second batch as back up, I had also send some to Cousin Iris and a Friend for them to try it in their fish pond.

Watermelon had Sprout after 5 days, Sugar Cane had Sprout after 7 days and Fig had Sprout after 9 days. Most of the other fruits had not sprout, I will replant the seed at end of the month if they still doesn't show any sign of sprouting.

Apr May Jun 2021 Ecologist Diary

The Crystal Shrimp behave like Cat, they like to hitch hike and ride on Rabbit Snail like what cat did for Robot Vacuum. The Crystal Shrimp continue to breed, Summer seem to be their Mating Season. The older Shrimp are getting Bigger, they are about 50% longer than the previous limit.

Found another Baby Rabbit Snail crawling on the glass wall while feeding the fish one morning. The older Crystal Shrimp also have deeper color, they use to be yellow but now more like orange. Manage to find Baby Danio at the pail, must have transfer them accidentally when I did the water change.

I was surprised that they are able to survive a week without any food, brought some brine shrimp to feed them to ensure they grow faster. Baby Danio had grown big, now is about the same size as Crystal Shrimp. Three of them remain the original silver color with black stripes, one of them adopt the luminous green color but without stripes.

Found another Baby Rabbit Snail just a day later, this one should be the twin of the 4th one. They really like to climb wall, some time they would hide inside the Java Fern. They are very strong, sometime can see them hanging on to the leave and still be able to move side way without falling off.

The Rabbit Snail usually only breed one offspring per month, but seem like they are breeding one every two weeks in my Aquarium. The condition must be very good for them, and they must have found sufficient amount of food source in order for them to decided to expand their population.

Starting to see a slight increase in population for Fire Red and Sunkist Orange Crystal Shrimp, I hope their population will thrive well to bring balance to the Yellow Bumble Bee dominated society. The Rabbit Snail had been chewing on the Java Fern Leave, I had seem a lot of holes on the Java Fern Leaves which I had never seen before until I start to keep Rabbit Snail in my Aquarium.

Passion Fruit had form a natural shelter over the Large Tray with the help of wire mesh I brought from online shopping website. Vegetables continue to thrive in Long Pot while new sprout is growing in Large Tray after recent harvest. The setup near to the lift lobby now become a mix of random plants, I had remove the old label to prevent confusion.

Found a Neon Tetra with swollen eye, did a search and found that it is Popeye Syndrome. Fluid accumulate behind the eye, it is not a serious case but the eye will become blind. Found another Baby Rabbit Snail when cleaning the Fish Tank, this will be the 7th one so far.

Notice that the Bak Choi had Flower, as my wife is busy with her work and my mom only harvest the Lettuce for cooking. The Bak Choi was left to grow until it start producing seeds. Another Baby Rabbit Snail had been found while cleaning Fish Tank, decided to transfer all the Adult Rabbit Snail to Fish Tank for Breeding.

I notice that the Java Fern at Shrimp Tank had been growing very well, so I decided to trim it and transfer some to Fish Tank. I went to the Aquarium Shop to get some Drift Wood for weighting down the Java Fern, when I was securing the water plant to the drift wood I discover another Baby Rabbit Snail at the Fish Tank.

Guess the 8th and 9th Baby Rabbit Snail are twin like the 4th and 5th one, I think they should be from the same mother. At this rate I might continue to get lucky and breed a lot of Rabbit Snail, not sure if any of my friends or relative would be interested to keep them.

Found another Baby Rabbit Snail the next day morning after I transfer all the Adult Rabbit Snail to Fish Tank, guess this time round it is a Triplet instead of Twin. One of my Army Friend is interested to get some for his Nano Fish Tank, he will be adopting a few from the existing one which I had.

Give 4 Baby Rabbit Snail to my Army Friend, he actually only wanted 2. I convince him that my Rabbit Snail will continue to breed more and it will be better for him to have more for effective cleaning and breeding too.

Found another Baby Rabbit Snail the next day morning in the Fish Tank, the strange thing is that it is not active. Not sure if it is dead or just an empty shell, transfer to Shrimp Tank for observation. Actually since they had breed so much, it doesn't really matter whether it is successful or not.

Yamato Shrimp continue to have Eggs, most of the larvae that hatch had become food for the fish. The Opae Ula had not start to breed until now, pending observation of their breeding process to ensure success of the Yamato Shrimp breeding in the future.

The previous Baby Rabbit Snail is a failure, but I manage to find another one few days later. Also manage to see two Rabbit Snail acting weird which seem like Mating to me.
